WOODWARD 8273-140 Digital load distribution and speed control module

WOODWARD 8273-140 is a digital load sharing and speed control module belonging to Woodward 2301D series. Its core functions include realizing precise speed regulation of diesel/gas engines, steam turbines and generators, as well as load balancing distribution among multiple units. Based on microprocessor technology, this module receives signals from speed, pressure and other sensors, processes them through preset control algorithms, and outputs control signals to adjust actuator actions for stable equipment operation. Product Performance​

The module adopts adaptive speed sensing algorithm, with speed control accuracy up to ±0.1% and load sharing accuracy ±0.5% FS, enabling load balancing adjustment among multiple units. The control response time is <1.0s, which can adjust engine speed in real time according to load changes to ensure stable output voltage and frequency.​

It integrates manifold air pressure limiter, torque limiter and low-speed sensing function, supporting remote speed/load reference setting, soft load transfer and automatic idle-to-rated speed switching. It has optional load rejection/load pulse function and idle droop control, adapting to complex working conditions.​

Built-in fault self-diagnostic system can capture and record fault data for traceability analysis, with diagnosis coverage ≥98%. It supports testing and parameter configuration via PC, and Modbus communication function realizes seamless integration with SCADA/DCS systems. Industrial-grade wide-temperature design combined with anti-interference circuit ensures equipment operation stability >99.9%, and mean time between failures (MTBF) ≥300,000 hours.​
