MTL MTL2213 Industrial Control Module

MTL MTL2213 is a 3-channel switch/proximity detector relay of the 2200 series from MTL Instruments (UK), now associated with Eaton and Halma Group, serving as a core adaptive component for industrial control in hazardous areas. Specifically designed for industrial automation scenarios, its core function is to independently control the on/off of 3 100VA loads in the safe area through 3 light-duty on/off switches or certified proximity detectors in the hazardous area, supporting mixed access of switches and proximity detectors. The product adopts 3 interconnected and fully floating input circuits, built-in phase reversal function, which can realize the action reversal of all relays through terminal connection, and has triple protection mechanisms for power failure, line breakage and earth fault. LED indicators can intuitively display the working status of each channel relay. This product can directly replace the MTL 2212 model, only terminal 8 can be used for grounding connection, with compact structure and low cost. Certified by international explosion-proof standards such as Ex ia IIC, ATEX and IECEx, it can operate stably for a long time in hazardous areas, adapt to various industrial control loops, and is consistent with MTL's core technical positioning in the field of adaptive control in industrial hazardous areas.

Product Performance

It has 3-channel independent control function, supports mixed access of switches and proximity detectors, can control 3 100VA loads in the safe area at the same time, meets the demand of multi-equipment coordinated control, and adapts to various industrial control loops.

Adopting 3 interconnected and fully floating input circuit design, it effectively avoids signal interference between channels, ensures independent execution of control commands for each channel, and improves control accuracy and stability.

Built-in phase reversal function, the action reversal of all relays can be realized by linking terminals 7 and 8, adapting to control needs in different scenarios without additional equipment modification.

It has a complete fault protection mechanism: all relays are de-energized and contacts are open when power fails; the corresponding channel relay is de-energized when line breakage fault occurs (normal phase); hierarchical protection is realized according to ground resistance when earth fault occurs, ensuring safe operation of the system.

Each channel is equipped with an independent LED indicator, which is on when the relay is energized, allowing intuitive judgment of the working status of each channel, facilitating on-site fault diagnosis and daily maintenance.

Certified by international explosion-proof standards such as Ex ia IIC, ATEX and IECEx, it is suitable for Zone 0 and IIC hazardous areas, can operate safely in explosive gas environments without potential safety hazards.

The response time is only nominal 50ms, signal transmission and action execution are fast, which can quickly respond to sensor commands and ensure the timeliness of load on/off control.

The contact rating reaches 250VAC 5A and 250VDC 5A, which can stably carry 100VA/100W load, with long contact life, meeting the demand of long-term high-frequency industrial use.
