K-Tron KCM-2 Material conveying and control unit

K-Tron KCM-2 is an industrial-grade material handling and control unit belonging to K-Tron's material processing control series. Its core function is to real-time control the feeding rate and proportioning accuracy of solid materials such as powder and granules, adapting to material conveying equipment like loss-in-weight feeders and screw conveyors. The device integrates a CPU control module and multiple types of I/O interfaces, supports various industrial communication protocols, has explosion-proof design and fault diagnosis functions, and can realize automatic adjustment and remote monitoring of the material conveying process. Adopting a sealed housing structure, it provides two installation versions: standard and hygienic, complying with ATEX explosion-proof certification and hygiene standards for food and pharmaceutical industries, serving as a core control component in precise batching and mixing production scenarios.​

Product Performance​

Adopting a 32-bit high-performance CPU with an operation speed ≥80MIPS, the material flow control accuracy is ≤±0.2% FS, supporting 100ms-level data refresh and adjustment response. Integrated with an adaptive PID regulation algorithm, it can dynamically adjust control parameters according to material characteristics, adapting to the conveying needs of materials with different densities and fluidities.​

The explosion-proof structure design can operate stably in Zone 22 dust explosion-proof area and Zone 1 gas explosion-proof area, and the housing protection capability ensures no performance degradation in humid and dusty industrial environments. The multi-protocol communication function supports seamless connection with PLC and DCS systems, with data interaction delay ≤5ms, realizing centralized production management and control.​

The fault diagnosis system can real-time monitor 16 types of fault states such as power abnormality, communication interruption and sensor failure, with fault response time ≤10ms, and simultaneously trigger relay output alarm and information reporting. The device supports online programming and parameter configuration, and program upgrade and function expansion can be completed through the DB9 port without disassembling the device.​
