Fireye 85UVF1-1QD Ultraviolet (UV) flame detector

Fireye 85UVF1-1QD is an industrial-grade ultraviolet (UV) flame detector launched by Fireye, designed for flame status monitoring and safety protection of combustion equipment. Its core function is to accurately identify the "flame present/absent" status by detecting the 185-260nm ultraviolet band emitted during flame combustion. It also has anti-interference and self-diagnostic functions to avoid false alarms or missed alarms caused by non-flame light sources such as sunlight, electric arcs, and high-temperature radiation. The detector integrates relay and analog output interfaces, which can be directly connected to combustion control systems (such as DCS, PLC) to realize emergency shutdown interlock when the flame is lost. It is compatible with combustion equipment using various fuels such as fuel oil, natural gas, and coal, and is a key component to ensure the safe and stable operation of industrial combustion systems.

Product Performance

High flame recognition accuracy: Only responds to the exclusive 185-260nm ultraviolet band, completely shielding non-flame light sources such as sunlight, LED lights, and welding arcs. The false alarm rate is ≤0.1 times/year, and the missed alarm rate is 0, ensuring reliable triggering of the combustion system’s safety interlock.

Fast response speed: Recognizes flames and outputs “flame present” signal in ≤1 second when flames appear, and triggers an alarm in ≤2 seconds when flames are lost, gaining time for emergency shutdown of combustion equipment and avoiding safety risks caused by fuel leakage.

Strong environmental adaptability: No delay in low-temperature startup at -40℃, and no attenuation of detection sensitivity when operating at high temperature of +85℃; IP65 protection can resist dust and rain splashes, and the die-cast aluminum alloy housing is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, suitable for harsh working conditions in chemical and metallurgical industries.

Comprehensive self-diagnostic function: Regularly performs self-diagnosis on optical filter cleanliness, photoelectric sensor performance, and circuit integrity, and immediately outputs “fault alarm” signal when abnormalities are found. It supports remote monitoring of self-diagnostic status, reducing the frequency of manual inspections.

Wide system compatibility: Dual output modes of relay and 4-20mA can be directly connected to mainstream DCS (such as Siemens PCS 7, ABB AC 800M) and PLC (such as Rockwell ControlLogix, Mitsubishi Q series) without custom adaptation modules.
