ABB REC650 1MRK008514-AA is an industrial-grade bay control intelligent electronic device (IED) of the Relion® 650 series, specifically designed for single breaker bays in single/double busbar substation architectures. Its core function is to realize precise control, real-time status monitoring and safety interlocking protection of switchgear, integrating protection, measurement, control and communication functions. It supports IEC 61850 Ed 2.1 standard and GOOSE horizontal communication, and can be seamlessly integrated into smart substation automation systems. The module adopts a plug-and-play design with preset default parameters, featuring "select-before-operate" safety control logic and multi-level interlocking functions. It meets the strict reliability and safety requirements of the power industry, serving as a core component to ensure the safe and stable operation of substation bay equipment.

Product Performance

The module’s logic processing cycle can be configured as 5ms, 20ms or 100ms, supporting access of 8 merging units to meet process layer data acquisition requirements. Voltage measurement accuracy is ≤±0.5% full scale, current measurement accuracy ≤±1.0% full scale, frequency measurement range 45-65Hz with accuracy ±0.01Hz.

It adopts GOOSE communication for inter-bay interlocking, with interlocking response time <1ms. It supports inter-bay interlocking and equipment reservation operation functions to prevent misoperation. Event recording resolution is 1ms, capable of storing 1000 event records and 100 disturbance recording data, with maximum recording duration up to 3.4s.

Built-in intelligent diagnosis module can detect 20 types of faults such as power abnormality, communication interruption, and I/O channel failure, with diagnostic coverage rate ≥99%. Fault information is uploaded to the background system in real time via Ethernet. Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) is ≥1,000,000 hours (25℃ environment), supporting online configuration download and parameter modification, with configuration update time ≤30 seconds.
