ABB PNI800A Ethernet communication module

ABB PNI800A is an industrial-grade high-performance Ethernet communication module, specifically designed for ABB AC 800M Programmable Automation Controller (PAC), and serves as the core network interface component of 800xA and Symphony®Plus distributed control systems. Its core function is to build a communication bridge between the controller and industrial Ethernet, enabling high-speed transmission of underlying control data and upper monitoring systems, as well as supporting multi-protocol device access and cross-brand system integration. Adopting a modular architecture, the module can be directly inserted into the AC 800M extension rack, closely collaborating with the main CPU via the backplane bus. It has a built-in web server and network management functions, allowing configuration and diagnosis without dedicated software, and is a key component for building vertically integrated networks in digital factories.​

Dual Ethernet ports support network ring topology construction for communication redundancy. Port data transmission rate auto-adapts to 10/100 Mbps, with throughput up to 200Mbps in full-duplex mode and data transmission delay ≤1ms, meeting real-time control requirements. The multi-protocol compatible design can simultaneously access PROFINET remote I/O, Modbus TCP intelligent instruments and Ethernet/IP devices, enabling seamless cross-brand system integration.​

Built-in web server supports direct browser access to the configuration interface, allowing real-time viewing of port status, communication statistics and error logs.
