The ABB CAI04 is a compact analog input module manufactured by ABB. It is mainly used in industrial automation scenarios and can handle up to 8 channels of thermocouple (TC) and millivolt (mV) input signals. Each channel is independently isolated and configurable. This module plays a crucial role in industrial automation systems. It can convert continuous physical signals such as temperature, pressure, and flow into digital data for processing by programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCSs), or supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. As part of the ABB AC 800M control system within the ABB Industrial IT platform, the CAI04 can reliably acquire and condition analog signals even in harsh industrial environments.
